Lakshadweep

Lakshadweep: India's Coral Paradise

Located in the waters near the coast of Kerala, Lakshadweep is a collection of islands and atolls that appears like a completely new world – blue lagoons, snow-white beaches, and some of the most vibrant coral reefs of India. Only a few islands out of thirty-six are accessible for tourists, and as such the entire archipelago is quiet and pristine in contrast with the other beach resorts of India. The islands of Agatti and Bangaram attract tourists with their lagoons and diving sites, whereas Kavaratti, being the capital of the group, is a perfect place to learn about life on the islands. For those seeking solitude, Minicoy Island offers swaying palms, a towering lighthouse, and a slower pace of life shaped by its unique Maldivian-influenced culture.
