Assam & Meghalaya
Assam & Meghalaya: India's Green Northeast
Located in India’s Northeast region, Assam and Meghalaya presents a unique perspective on the country with its lush tea gardens, misty mountain ranges, living root bridges, and some of the rainiest places on earth. Assam, recognized for its tea plantations and the massive Brahmaputra River, is also home to Kaziranga National Park, which is known for its rare one-horned rhinos. At the same time, Meghalaya, which itself means “land of clouds”, features its waterfalls, caves, and distinct tribal cultures of the Khasi and Garo. Together both the regions provide an opportunity for exploration of nature and relaxation of people.
