Kashmir
Kashmir: Paradise on Earth
Kashmir is located at the northern end of India within the Himalayas. Its title as “Paradise on Earth” is not simply a marketing phrase. It includes snow capped mountains, tranquil alpine lakes and colorful green valleys. There are numerous pine tree forests and fields full of flowers in the area followed by high elevation mountain passes, which can be enjoyed in one trip. Many times you will find groups of people returning because they enjoyed the Mughal Gardens, Houseboats and the local food (saffron, dried fruits and slow cooked meats). Most visitors enter through Srinagar before branching out to Gulmarg, Pahalgam or Sonamarg.
