Overview

SCS Journeys planned this one so you actually get to enjoy Kerala instead of rushing through a checklist. First stop’s Kochi, then it’s up into Munnar’s hills, over to Thekkady for the spice country, and a day out on Alleppey’s backwaters to close things off. If you’re heading out with friends or coworkers and want to cover real ground without the trip feeling like a chore – this one fits.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Kochi

You'll be picked up at the airport and taken straight to your hotel. Once everyone's settled, head out for a walk through Fort Kochi - old streets, the famous Chinese fishing nets, a bit of Portuguese and Dutch history still visible if you look closely. In the evening, there's a Kathakali performance to watch, one of Kerala's oldest art forms, and honestly a great way to kick off the trip together as a group. Overnight in Kochi.

Day 02 :

Kochi to Munnar

Breakfast, then you're on the road to Munnar. It's about a four-hour drive, and honestly the higher you go, the better it looks - waterfalls popping up along the way, a few good viewpoints worth stopping for if people want photos. By evening you'll be in Munnar, tea gardens covering just about every hill you can see. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 03 :

Munnar Sightseeing

This day's for exploring Munnar properly. First stop today is a tea museum. Doesn't sound like much on paper, but it's genuinely interesting once you're actually walking through it and seeing how your morning cup gets made. Mattupetty Dam comes next - boat ride if the weather's playing along, skip it if not, no big deal either way. Then in the afternoon you're at Eravikulam National Park, and this bit's worth paying attention to. Somewhere in there lives the NilgiriTahr, a type of mountain goat you won't spot just anywhere. No guarantees you'll see one, but people do get lucky. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 04 :

Munnar to Thekkady

Today it's Thekkady, known for the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and some genuinely good spice country. A guide takes the group through a working plantation later on - cardamom vines, pepper creepers, cinnamon bark, and someone actually there to point out what's what as you walk through. It's a nice change after two days of hills and viewpoints. Overnight in Thekkady.

Day 05 :

Thekkady to Alleppey

Head to Alleppey, where the group boards a houseboat for a day cruise through the backwaters. Lunch is served fresh on board while you drift past coconut groves and small villages along the water. By evening, you'll check into your hotel in Alleppey for the night. Overnight in Alleppey.

Day 06 :

Departure

After breakfast and a relaxed check-out, you'll be transferred to Kochi Airport for your onward journey - wrapping up a trip that took the group from hill stations to spice country to the backwaters, all in under a week.
